The No.1 concern with a bore hole pump is if the water level runs out. In order to protect your pump from costly damage, you need a protection device to shut the pump down in the event of this happening.

All Davey pumps are equipped with electric motors by Franklin-Electric. Pumptec is made by Franklin-Electric and is a solid state, load sensing control that monitors motor load and automatically shuts off a Franklin single phase motor when the motor load drops. Pumptec-Plus includes overload sensing as well. Pumptec and Pumptec-Plus controllers are made for 4" Pumps.

If the water level drops below the pump intake, the controller automatically shuts down the pump. The controller will then try to restart the pump after a variable, programmable time period.

3-Wire motors must be wired in conjuction with the applicable Franklin control box. Note: Pumptec is not designed for use on permanent split capacitor (PSC) motors.

For 6" and 8" pumps use a Submoniter control.
