AcquaSafe
What is Acquasafe?
Acquasafe is a revolutionary new sanitiser specifically designed to kill 99.9% of dangerous bacteria and pathogens in your water tank, and keep it protected from recontamination. It is environmentally safe and friendly. It has national government approval for use in drinking water both here in Australia and around the world.
Acquasafe is a non-chlorine based oxidant. It is a tier-one disinfectant that, unlike others in its category, contains a stabilised form of H2O2 that provides a residual efficacy for long lasting protection. Acquasafe can provide a 99.9% kill rate against a wide range of pathogens including bacteria, mould, viruses, bacteriophages, yeast, fungi, sporogenes, amoeba and spores.
Acquasafe has some significant advantages over other water sanitisers:

It has none of the disadvantages of chlorine, and has additional synergistic effects that make it the ideal choice over any other sanitation product.
Acquasafe is not only used in Australia - it is used to sanitise municipal water supplies in countries all over the world. In fact, Acquasafe has never been rejected by any country, for use with drinking water.
Why do I need Acquasafe?
We all know rainwater tastes better than tap water because it doesn't have all the added chemicals - but just how clean is it?
Rainwater starts out clean and bacteria free, but as soon as it hits a collecting surface like a rooftop, dangerous bacteria can begin to multiply in the water. Think of all the animal and bird faeces, dust and dirt, decaying leaves and insects that could be on your roof contaminating your water supply. Each of these sources of can lead to dangerous bacteria like E.Coli and streptococci entering your water.
The Health Departments of most states of Australia have released findings that "Unless adequately treated, rainwater is not reliably safe to drink".
Tank maintenance plays a role in how much bacteria ends up in your tank. Improving technology ‘gutter guards’ and ‘first flush’ devices are becoming standard for most new tanks installed these days, but what most people don't know is that every couple of years they actually need to completely drain their tank and remove the layer of sludge that builds up in the bottom of the tank. Cleaning the gutters and emptying filters are among the many monthly chores that seem to be forgotten by most water tank owners.
How does it work?
Acquasafe takes its power from a combination of stabilised H2O2 and silver. The blending of these two components together into one solution provides the rapid disinfecting properties of H2O2 with the long term action of silver. Because of this, Acquasafe is capable of eliminating bacteria and pathogens more effectively than most chlorine-based sanitisers.
Acquasafe is perfect for sanitising water because it does not leave behind any toxic chemical residue for one very simple reason: as the H2O2 oxidises the bacteria, it loses an O (oxygen atom) and turns back into H2O - pure water!
Acquasafe simply accelerates nature's own process of oxidation to kill pathogens. In fact, your own body makes H2O2 to fight infection. Our white blood cells produce H2O2 as the first line of defence against toxins, parasites, bacteria, viruses and yeast and must be present for our immune system to function correctly.
Acquasafe has a built-in dispersant, therefore no mixing of the water tank is necessary. Whilst 24 hours is the recommended with-holding period required before the water is 100% safe to drink, sterilization will have been extremely efficient within 1 hour.
